Dont need to be showing such sarcasm and attitude man. wasnt trying to be harsh just being straight up. and putting in that you read books about course and management doesnt sound like something they would really care to hear. That sounds more like filler information that would hold no ground for them.

I am not being harsh.. I am at work.. so quickly typed that. Actually I was happy, that someone pointed that again. I appreciate it when someone point my mistakes. And you can see that, in my earlier posts too.

Also, in the year gap. I tried looking for job as I mentioned couldn't get in. Than it was too late since colleges were full and Didn't had money to go to do online course. The thing is I don't want to put any emotional sentence as someone mentioned in earlier I should avoid those.

I have got rest covered like scoring last year, polished myself. It just clicked my mind. what if they ask me about the year in between.

The reason for my bad grades were:

1) Partied alot
2) less concentration in studies
3) didn't ask for help from professor's and ta's when needed. Started to miss lectures.

Have you considered applying to other universities? Seeing that you have been rejected by McMaster 2 times already, don't you think you're better off going to another uni/college instead wasting more years?
Just my thought...

ok ive taken commerce and econ courses as joke electives and i know for a fact that they are easy 12s without ever attending lecture. Hell a lot of profs are poor instructors and it is much easier not attending lecture and instead teaching yourself the material from the courseware assigned to the class. But yeah, student success is not based solely on attending lecture as you seem to think!

I remember a post a long time ago where someone said that reinstatement isn't for people who screwed up and want a second chance, it's for people who never really had a chance in the first place.

I have absolutely no idea how true that is with regards to them accepting your application, and I'm definitely not saying don't try, but do keep that in mind in case you're not successful. As another poster said, it can't hurt to try to apply somewhere else as well.

It might not look great if you say you tried to get a job but didn't because honestly I know how hard it is to get a job as a student but if you keep looking nonstop you should be able to find something, especially for a whole year. Did you do any volunteering or anything?

Hi guys, as some of you already know, I am also applying for reinstatement this year. I was in life sci and due to medical reasons, really screwed up. I was wondering if they look at ur summer school marks or if I should tell them to? Also, should I apply to B.tech? I've been reading on people actually transfering into eng and science from Btech with really good mark. I am normally a really capable student, first year was the first time I have failed in my life. Highschool was all all 90s and high 80s :/

Let me tell you guys!

I started in 2008 and got kicked out. I was in engineering. For 2009-2010, I went to Seneca for the CET program and I finished the year with a 3.4 average. I also received a recommendation letter from one of my profs. On the first day I was able to hand in my reinstatement, I did it.

Within 2.5 weeks, I got my acceptance. I also decided that ENGINEERING isnt my thing and I moved into Communications which I enjoy. I also consider going to Ryerson & York but never fell through.

I know people who didn't hand in transcripts from college in their reinstatement and they got reinstated.

If you got kicked out twice, I think the best bet is to apply somewhere else UNLESS your parents don't know whats going on with your studies.

Good Luck!

if( adivice_is_vital = 0)
{
printf("epic fail);
}

else
{

printf("respect");

}
