high school averages
I applied to mac for 2016 and my school is semestered, does anyone know if mac looks at averages by semester or averages as a whole? Also, for the entrance scholarships can the value of it change if your average increases or decreases by June?

Basically if your grades are good enough in first semester most Universities/Colleges will give you a "conditional offer" meaning as long as you keep your grades up in second semester as well they will reserve your spot (if your grades fall, your offer can be revoked). If your grades aren't good enough first semester you may be overlooked for now, and then given an offer if your average goes up at a later date (if there is space left).

Entrance scholarships are based on your June average so if your average changes, your scholarship will as well. I forget when the first review period is, I think it's somewhere around January-February but they look at all the courses you've completed in first semester and the midterm marks from second semester for your top 6 (which includes courses that are mandatory for entrance).

Actually in 2011 before my first year I took summer school to bump my average up, and they changed it in August, but I had to bring my new transcript.
