Hockey Gold!
Men and Women, over American teams.

Go Canada!

(You guys see Cod Harbour (where Crosby's from)? They seemed so chilled out, lol.)

Considering the hype, I figured hockey gold deserved a thread.

I was driving home around 8 pm and I saw 12-14 cars driving around honking and waving the Canadian flag, and a few people running on the streets with the flag.

Hockey gold definitely deserves it own thread!!

Watching the game in West End was AWESOME.

I'm mildly surprised that 1280 was NOT open for the cash cow that was the Men's Gold Medal Game yesterday... =/

The game averaged 16.6 million viewers and 26.5 million Canadians tuned in at some point in the game.

I find this statistic evn morei mpressive since I'm under the impression that these stats don't take into count all the people at bars watching the game.

They say approximately 3.4 Billion people will have tuned in for the winter olympics at some point during these several weeks. (Not necessarily just the hockey game). This is huge, nobody cares about the winter olympics!

It means Canada pwnt those other nub host countries.

BTW was anyone else ticked off by how violent the US players were?

Other than Bobby Ryan's slewfoot near the beginning of the game, they were rough but not cheap which I have no problem with.

LMFAO OMG, in the finals game, I was watching it with my ENTIRE family and there was this BS thing where I was sitting there the ENTIRE time right, and EVERY TIME I GOT UP WE SCORED! I was like oh my god you've got to be kidding me, come ON! So what happened when we went into overtime was that everyone was telling me to get up and I was like 'I'm perfectly comfortable right here, thank you very much!' and THEN i realized what they were doing! SO, i got up, and we scored.

BRILLIANT.

GO CANADA! WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOT!
