Yeah, your bus pass is officially active as of last Tuesday. I persistently asked each and every bus driver I saw on Tuesday just to make sure and the worst I got was a "this kid must be crazy" stare from the driver on the 25 - Upper Wellington.

If the driver argues it, tell them to call their supervisor and make sure. Since the pass is included in your tuition, you may as well use it as much as humanly possible.

It's officially September 1st to April 30th.

https://www.msumcmaster.ca/services/hsr/faq.htm

But many students were able to get on before September 1st. This is the only time inconsistencies in an organization is a good thing XD

yeah I tried to use mine a couple of days ago and they said september 1st.

Also what does this mean? "If you are entitled to use the U-Pass, your registration sticker will include the special "HSR" band. The driver has the right to check for this band on the back of your student card if s/he suspects that the bus pass may be fraudulent." found this on the msu site, but I only have one sticker which is on the front of my card.

I'm pretty sure that's the sticker they're talking about.

Yes it's the sticker. They should really update that information though. Basically many years ago the cards were a lot different. The sticker used to go on the back of the card, I also think the card was in landscape (now it's in portrait).

It's valid from Sept 1-Apr 30...and yes, you paid approx $100 in your supplementary fees for it (see original post).

Because the MSU got us a deal with HSR...since it's mandatory for all undergrad students (ie, you cannot opt out of getting a bus pass), we get it for super-cheap.
