Humanities/Social Science elective?
I'm going into Humanities and I need one more course to take. I really wanted to take French 1Z06 but it's full. Right now I'm signed up for:
ANTHROP 1A03
CLASSICS 1B03
CMST 1A03
CSCT 1CS3
ENGLISH 1AA3
INQUIRY 1HU3
MMEDIA 1A03
MMEDIA 1B03
THTR&FLM 1T03
Which first year course did you take that you thought was easy/enjoyable? I'd prefer Humanities courses, but I'm open to Social Sciences too.

That's apparently the same as CSCT 1CS3, which I'm already taking.

Ah, my bad I read CMST 1CS3 (I didn't take any of those courses so I wouldn't know if that was a legit code or not). It's a great class though! How do you feel about history courses? Because if you are open to taking them, History 1BB3 (Global 20th Century) and History 1AA3 (European History 18something-1945ish) are really interesting courses too.

.... And I just realized Classics is a history class [I think =/]. FML. Ignore me, haha. My brother told me to take the class, so I did.

Classics 1B03 isn't heavily based on History because it leans more towards Greek Mythology and the stories that were based from that. If you liked the show Hercules or played Age of Mythology as a kid than I suggest you keep it.
And the prof teaching that course is hilarious and makes the class so much more enjoyable than any other class I've had.

If you take french 1Z06, you'll have to drop one of your other courses--it's a 6-unit (full-year) course, so it counts as two 3-unit courses.
Psych 1X03 is a pretty standard first-year course, so if you're interested in psych that might be something to look at?

Psych 1X03 was probably one of my favourite courses just because I found the content to be really interesting - and I'm pretty sure it's considered a social science.
Other than that, I found Linguistics 1A03 to be pretty easy and somewhat interesting.

I wish I could take Psych 1X03, but I never took biology in highschool. And I don't want to have to take bio in uni just so I can take a psych course. Even though I've always wanted to take psych...
And I know about dropping a course if I got French. I'll just drop Thtr&flm. I don't even really want to take it. I was just trying to find a course to take. I think I'm going to just drop the theatre course and take sociology, because I'm guessing i will never get to take french :(

That's probably a good idea if you're not excited about theatre and film. However, don't give up on the French, you could still get it! So switch into Sociology but keep trying for French. Good luck!
