I had 2 major questions before registering in SOLAR.

I've taken up to Gr. 10 French, so I'm familiar with some of the verb tenses, etc.

However, since I'm enrolled in a program other than Humanities or Arts&Sci., I am advised to take 1Z06.

My only problem with that is it may be too easy (not likely, but you never know).

Question #1: Would I be able to request a placement testing during either August or early September to switch courses from 1Z06 to 1K06?

They both list students with Gr. 10 or 11 French; the only difference being Humanities and Arts&Sci. program vs. other programs.

Question #2: What IS the real discernible difference between them? (ex. curriculum-wise, pace, course material, etc.)

I think French 1Z06 would be more fast-paced because it starts from the basics but its goal is to catch up to French 1A06.
