Hey,
I looked at the coop office's website:

http://www.science.mcmaster. ca/scc...am-information

I didn't see any coop program for Life Science itself, just the specialized programs.
That website has most of the info on coop programs. And you can also contact someone at the science coop office (in BSB) and ask them any specific questions or just to know more about the program.
Hope that helps.

Go to your faculty office, engineering is the one I know about, no idea how life sci works...

You could always do it yourself.. reseach companies that would be looking for life sci persons and take the inititative of inquiring with them..

Make sure you get the kind of specialized help that coop programs offer though, councelling and resume criticism is availible from the careers office in the student centre or the engineering coop office in JHE.

Annnnd of course theres always the ask-the-prof route: a lot of these people who teach us are tenued, which means they do reseach and could probably be in contact with employers who are in need of coop-type students.

There is an entire department for science co-op. It's called the Careers and Co-op something. It's right next to the Academic Advisors offices.

If you're just in Life Sci, there isn't a coop option. You could, as people have suggested, approach profs to see if you can work with them or if they can recommend places for summer positions, but there isn't an official Life Sci coop program. It only exists for biochem, biopharm, chembio, chem, molecular bio/genetics, math/stats, medical & health physics, and physics (and sometimes only for specific specializations within those programs).
