I am an international student and I am currently looking for a job off/on campus. I know that I have to apply through oscar, but I am not sure if im using it correctly because it's not letting me see on campus jobs.

And is it too late? I wanna start working in September.

For jobs through OSCAR that usually means you have to be approved for work study and work study application/jobs through OSCAR get released August 1.

Guess, Holister, and a few other places at Limeridge are hiring.
Genie and Subway near Jackson are too.

Its a bit late for on-campus stuff, but I'm sure there are a few departments who will be hiring from now till Sept, but, for the most part you're wayyyy too late to start looking now.

Look around campus on Monday.. places like 1280, underground, union market, la piazza will already have enough people and getting a job is harder there.. campus events, avtek, paradise catering, uts, faculty services, athrec, groundskeeping, department specific services, TA positions, professors etc might be the better options for you. You'll have to look into each individually.

As I said above you can through OSCAR it's just not released until august 1....

Since you're an international student, are you sure your visa allows you to work in Canada? They're pretty strict about this. I know someone who almost get in big trouble for this :/

lol yes, inorder to work on campus, I'd have to apply for a SIN number and if I wanna work off campus, I'd have to apply for a work permit. As long as you get those things done, you're good to go. Alot of international students work on campus. I am pretty sure it's not a problem.

I was approved for the Work Study program during the summer, but was never hired. My OSAP situation for second year has changed, however. For the Work Study during the school year, do I need to reapply for approval or do I go based off of my previous approval?
