I'm going to audition for Fiddler on the Roof this year at MMT and I was wondering about some things, if anyone whose been in MMT previous years could tell me
-I'm mostly wondering what you've done, or seen others do, for the "Minute to impress". Should it be at all related to the show you're auditioning for? If not, whats your aim in doing it? Just to show the director you're a cool person and make an impression?
- The MMT website says you can choose to do a 32 bar cut of your songs, or do the whole thing. Which do you recommend? Will they cut you off if your song is taking too long?
- Do you suggest preparing your songs according to which role you think you want, or just generally give an indication of your vocal range?
- Specifically, do y'all have any suggestions for Fiddler audition songs, if I'm a soprano trying out for one of the daughters?
- Overall audition tips?
Sorry this was so long, I'm so excited and I just wanna be prepared!
