i already dropped one course, so the total number of courses i'm taking is 8. i'm wondering how many courses must i not fail to stay in school or does my average just need to be above 65 to stay in school?

Your average just needs to be over 3 to stay in university.

McMaster uses a 12.0 scale that may or may not correspond to a percentage. You'll have to translate each course to the 12.0 scale and use them to find an average.

McMaster GPA Scale: http://studentsuccess.mcmast er.ca/...ion-chart.html

since you are in engineering, you need 12 courses per full year to have enough credits to graduate in the 4 years. unless you plan on taking some in the summer. as for the average, i think you have to keep a 4 to stay in engineering, not sure what it is for other programs
