Maximum allowable first year courses/credits?
Hey guys,
What is the maximum allowable units/courses for level I courses? I was told by a Councillor that there is no limit. Is that true? I am in Humanities. Is there a limit depending on what faculty you are in? Clarification would be much appreciated!

Is this your program? It says you need "120 units total (Levels I to IV), of which 48 units may be Level I."

But you're allowed to take more if you want, they just won't count towards your degree.

You can take as many as you want, but only 48 units can count towards your degree. So what you could do is take level 2/3/4 courses in the summer to make up for them, or take your first year courses in the summer. Alternatively, you could also overload.. Just a few options to think about

Can one even handle it? I've heard of some people doing special cases cause they're smart but anything beyond 6/term is ridiculous..

I am just in a situation where I have finally realised what I want to do and I will be needing to take courses like 1 or 2 level I math courses and both chems for level I.

The math and chem courses are a real bummer, cause I can't take most biology courses and econ courses with out them!

I did 6 in fall 2011 and it was a LOT. So even with 6, you have to be careful with your choice for courses!
