I was very sick today and had to miss my midterm (30%) I went to my doctor's office but didn't find him there.

What should I do? This is the first time something like this happens to me :(

you cannot msaf a mid term worth 30%. I believe in order to use the msaf the item must be less than or equal to 29%. Your physician will have to fill out the mcmaster medical form and must check off either serious or severe.

Go to the doctor's office and have them back date the doctor's note, which they would most likely do anyways. If he's like dead or something visit a walk-in clinic, which you should have done anyways the day of. Beware that walk in clinics will make you pay for a note but they are far from reluctant to hand them out.

I'm pretty sure you can still go to the doctor's, at least try that's your best option here!

You have 5 days to submit the doctor's note to your faculty office, so I would suggest just go to your doctor and get a note and submit it within 5 days. And since it's 30% the prof. should be kind enough to understand the importance of your missed midterm as long as you follow the procedure and hand in the doctor's note on time.
