contact faculty head (for psych i believe) but to be perfectly honest... you've most likely failed the course (assuming you are required to show up to the exam to pass). An excuse like that simply will not fly in university.

Don't panic. The supervisor in my exam said that you just have to go to the dean and say you came over 30 minutes late and they didn't allow you in. You'll be able to write one in February of reading week properly.

step 1) don't panic
step 2) the best thing would be to get a doctor's note if you can, just to assure that you get the exam deferred since they do require proper documentation or proof. I think merely saying that you didn't know what time the exam was probably won't be convincing enough for the faculty and you don't wanna take any risks. hope it all works fine for you...Good luck!

You're in Commerce, so you need to contact your Academic Programs Office in Degroote. It's on the main floor, opposite the elevators. I recommend going in person but also emailing them today to show that you're on top of things.

As someone who missed an exam before for the same reason, don't panic.
What you should do right now is email the prof, and see if they'd be willing to give you a deferred exam. They have the authority to do that, and when I missed my exam, my prof let me write it the following week.
You should also talk to your faculty, as goodnews.inc pointed out. They'll have you fill out a form, and set up a deferred exam later in the year; reading week, I guess. There's a one-off rule for missing an exam without a valid excuse (i.e. medical).
I wouldn't suggest getting a faked doctor's note, since they do allow you to defer one exam like this.

don't worry you should be able to re-write it in February, because the same thing happened to my friend, she missed the same psych exam today but they aloud her to re-write in Feb!

Hey guys, I am in the same situation and I need a doctor's note but I heard from an upper year that there is a doctor that McMaster does not take notes from because he just gives them out. Help please!

Yes. Apparently he does. I have a medical condition that is undeclared to the University for which I am on medication. Is there a medical form I can fill out so that they are aware. And which medical clinic should I go to?

You should just be able to get a doctor's note from whatever doctor sees you normally and is most familiar with your condition. If you want the university to be aware of it then you need to go through the Student Accessibility Services, and those things need to be set up in advance.
