Just curious, how much does the average student spend on groceries per week? Trying to decide on a good budget for feeding myself while living off campus

PS: assume a HEALTHY diet.. so not just pasta, canned foods, frozen dinners, etc. lol. how much should it cost for an average healthy balanced diet including fresh fruits, veggies, meat?

I'd say about $20-30/week. Go to farmers market downtown if you want fresh and cheap fruits/veggies.

I get a bit of food from home, so I'm spending about $20/week. When I wasn't I spent closer to $35/week.

Nothing. Carbs are yummy and filling.

100$ a week can go a long way if you make it yourself

i spend about $20 a week but sometime when there is big sales then i may spend up $40 one week but then spend nearly nothing the next.

Also, frozen veggies are great since they never expire and they are cheap

About $75 per week, but I have lots of allergies so my "special" food can be expensive.

dmzz likes this.
