New Macbook pro 2011
So my Acer laptop which I had for 6 months crashed few days ago and now I'm leaning towards the 13 inch Macbook Pro now.
How is their touchpad? I was so fed up with my acer touchpad that I used a USB mouse most of the time, I really don't want to do that again.
How about the fan heating issues? I heard the 2010 model doesn't heat up as fast? Does anyone have the 2011 macbook pro to verify this?
I'm not asking for a PC vs MAC debate here, just asking for mac users to give their inputs.

I have one slight problem with my trackpad, it became loose clinks whenever i move around on the left side of it, but this is an easy fix (I'm too lazy to go to the Mac Store) and it's nothing major, it still works just fine. The only time mine gets even relatively hot (I only have the 2010 model though) is when I'm watching videos for an extended period of time. Other than that, it's just fine - and I have a skin on it. I've had mine for almost a year, and it still runs like the day I got it, so yeah, I suggest getting one. They're light, and they're easy to learn how to use. Yes, they're expensive, but so far for me it's been totally worth it.

The macbook pro trackpad is probably the best i've ever used.. Its ultra sensitive and responsive. And of course the multi touch is fun.

The trackpad is probably the best you will ever use. I *hated* trackpads before I used the one on the Macbook Pro. It's amazing.

I like it. But constant use of it gets really, really bad on the fingers. I have to switch to a mouse. But thats just me.

As others have already said, the trackpads on Macs are easily the best available on any computer. If you still have an issue with them, you might just be like me and dislike using trackpads in general regardless of quality.

The trackpad is awesome and very convenient once you learn the gestures (4 finger swipe up, etc.).
The fans are in a really bad place, because Apple didn't want them to be visible at all -_- but they hardly kick in so you won't notice a heat problem.
The only time mine gets hot is when I'm playing SC2 or running a lot of programs that cause my fans to run full speed for a long time.
I'm guessing the heat problem will be the same in the 2010 and 2011 models because I don't think they moved the fans or changed the body at all.

RememberTwice, do you have the 2010 or 2011 version? I'm thinking of running SC2 once I get a Macbook. Would a Macbook be able to run the game at a medium-high setting? But we know Macbook isn't for gaming, at least when you look at the whole picture.
Yes, the 2011 Macbook Pro is "more" prone to heating actually. Google it if you don't belive me, I think the fact that they upgraded it to a i5 is the compromise for the higher heat. At least that's what some people say anyways.

Ye sure, Lenovo, Asus, or msi would be a good choice for a PC because it is NOT a HP, Toshiba or Acer.
It isn't that hard to beat out those second tier laptop companies (HP, Toshiba & Acer) cuz well, they suck big time.
I really don't want to get into PC vs MAC thing, it is getting old. Thanks for your input anyways.

For the money we all spend on our laptop, I'm sure most of us wouldn't want to depend on a mouse. (wireless or not)
It's like an additional baggage we don't want to have, silly.
