New soft drink provider
So last year the students voted NOT to have the university agree to an exclusive deal with a soft drink provider. Last year's deal was with Coca-Cola.
So what does the university do? They go and sign a deal with pepsi. That goes in the face of what the students voted last year. They wanted choice.
I think this decision is short sighted. Students wanted choice of beverages, and the university still hasn't given that to them
Many other institutions including Mohawk College right here in Hamilton have both coke and pepsi.

Unfortunately, the referendum last year applied only to the McMaster Students Union, not the entire university. This only applied to MSU locations such as 1280 and Union market.
The university should have seen the results from the referendum, and possibly decided students did not want an exclusive deal, but the referendum was in no way binding on them.
On a more personal note, I love pepsi so I'm so excited to see pepsi lime, but i'd love to see a bit more choice on campus.

I'm aware that the results weren't binding to the university as a whole. I respect those who wish to have some choice and the university doesn't seem to care.
I on the other hand hate pepsi. I will continue to buy my drinks from the Union Market exclusively- they are cheaper there anyway.

What a horrible decision, Coke is way better than Pepsi, not that I drink either anyways.

Sillly students.

I was in there yesterday and all I saw was that small freezer by the cash with the retro/vintage glass bottles for 2.25$ (IIRC) for 335ml. What a rip off.
Bring back the 2 cans for 1.25
Silly people and thinking they should have a right to vote.

There's still a coke machine in the basement of TSH. I also saw coke on the shelves at MDCL, but that is probably just extra stock they are trying to sell. It's not even cold >.>

Why is everyone so stubborn? Just drink Pepsi or go buy Coke from Fortino's if you really want it.
