Part-Time Registration
Is there still time to register? I am on mugsi but I do not see the course enrollment. I finished highschool late summer and miss the fall registration date? I am only going for part-time.

Call the university at 905-525-9140 and ask for the "Office of The Registrar".

Are you trying to enroll in courses for January?

It sounds like you're not currently a student at another post-secondary institution - if you are, then please correct me and ignore the rest of my post.

Have you been accepted into a program for a January start? If so, the details should have come with your acceptance letter, and if you're having trouble finding the details or unsure what to do next, it would be best to call the registrar, as was already suggested, but my guess is that you would just register on SOLAR and can do that any time up until ~2 weeks into the term.

If you have not yet applied to / been accepted into a program for January admission, then I'm going to go out on a limb and say that yes, it's too late. According to OUAC, McMaster doesn't typically offer January admission, so it would be an extra process. Even looking at deadlines of other schools, they're typically Nov 15 with a few on Dec 1. Considering McMaster is closing in five business days and won't reopen until January, you're not going to be able to apply for admission in time.

Sorry, can't edit my post - but I second jaywa's question!

My previous post assumed that you're looking for a January start...because that was my interpretation of your post. If you're not, then ignore everything I said.

It would really be helpful if you could be more specific in what you're asking.

I am looking for a January start, yes. There was a glitch on mugsi at the time, the Registrar helped me work it out. It was just Solar was not appearing on my web browser. Thank you very much for you help.

Hi there,
McMaster does not currently offer January entry, unless you were already accepted for the fall and did not register for courses. The next available opening would be Spring/Summer 2014, or Fall 2014. Ooh I was confused as well. Never mind my post. Although helpful for anyone else looking to apply for January!
