part-time student consequenses
My boyfriend just finished 4th year but still needs 3 classes to complete his degree. Also, he does not know what he wants to do after so he needs to keep open as many doors as he can (but most likely won't be interested in med school). Should he only take three classes next term to graduate? or is that a bad idea because he won't be a full time student?
If there aren't any consequenses of being a paart-time student I think he should just take the 3 courses and be done with it because if he takes more classes but does not do as well, he will be bumping off the good grades at the bottom of his transcript.
is this a good or bad idea?

I would suggest looking into various programs he wants to do (if any) to make sure he meets all the requirements. But other than that, I don't think there would be a point in taking more courses. Some professional schools want students to take full course loads for all their years because the workload in professional school is high, but it's not mandatory.

I believe my brother was part time this past year, he needed a couple courses to complete his degree as well.

If he's not going to grad school, then it shouldn't matter...not in the workforce at least.

If you're a part-time student you aren't eligible for a bus pass...

Part time status will likely void any benefits he will receive through his parents work benefits programs (if he currently does). He may also get reduced Mac benefit program.

You said your brother was going for speech path right? Do the grad schools look less favourably on current part-time students?

He didn't apply, he is taking a year off to work since he scored a full time job at st. michaels hospital.
