Could one not say that all the threads are pointless?

Both, actually.
But srsly, my actual cat? Best ever. She does things like jumping 4 feet in the air to attack shadows and lint. So cute.

No. they could not. All the threads have the point of discussing something in a manner that either is informative or enlightening. This thread is being called pointless because the opening poster has no intention of actually joining in the conversation when he is the only person taking one of the 2 opposing sides in the debate.

The thread was actually a great idea. But when it gets filled with multiple, pointless posts from one poster, that do not contribute the discussion already going on, I can see how it has BECOME pointless.

If one wishes to call informative or enlightening the opposite of pointless. And I wonder why so many of you believe that my threads are not. More people read than post do they not?

Yea, sure... "thought-provoking and tough questions."

There's more value in answering those questions yourself.
Your questions, to me, aren't that tough. They're all things I've asked myself before and haven't turned to the internet to in order to rip off someone else's answer. So the fact that you're not asking what I believe are tough questions, and are avoiding answering those questions yourself, I find to be extremely annoying.

Discussion:Conversation or debate concerning a particular topic; Text giving further detail on a subject
However, since you don't expand on your point of view there has been zero detail given on your point of view, thus nothing has been learned by the opposing side of the debate. Therefore this thread is pointless until you intend to properly express your point of view.

Why do people post offensive stuff, but then say "no offence _____ "at the end? That's a puzzle.
