I'd say around 2.5 to 3, depending on conditions and what not.

It's just a pain walking in the cold early mornings! D: Especially if it's snowed and it's all slushy...

3 Hour walk for me. I will be raising this issue at the SRA meeting this Sunday to find out what the MSU can work out with the University to accommodate students who commute via the HSR during this time of need.

Last year the strike was a pain in the ass, this year I learned I can just park in the streets of the student houses. It's even closer to my classes than the parking lot is.

Tips for those that still feel the need to use their parking pass out of principle:
1. If you're coming up from cootes to use the under the bridge entrance and it's early morning, drive to the exit instead and back in.
2. If you're coming from main street west, there's a portion of the curb that's shaped like a ramp, allowing you to easily climb it, then you have flat ground to drive across and eventually land in that driveway that has the locked gate blocking it. I didn't even have snow tires on and I was driving a front wheel drive in pretty nasty snowfall, so I'd assume most of you could also make this run without issue.

Those two tips saved me at least a half hour every day.

uh.... I think you've got this all wrong. nothing is being blocked, so car commuters won't be affected. the busses will not be running.
