Now how about that diva Tevez? Now there are reports he's already got a club lined up and thats why he wants to leave? Other rumors claim he never wanted Hughes sacked, and didn't believe Bellamy should have left... If I was in Man City's position I would either try to force him to honor his contract and if he refuses to play let him rot in the reserves or let him go and sue him like it is reported they would do. It's a tricky position City's in, they need to show world football that they are no pushovers and aren't just spending money like it's someone's job, the problem is, do they know they need to do that?
i don't know why City are stressing so much, they have an unlimited bank account, they could EASILY sell him off and buy someone new (Benzema, Higuain might be easy if they offer Tevez in exchange, Aguero wouldn't be difficult to get, neither would Forlan, Suarez, Fabiano). Let's not act like Tevez is irreplaceable, he is very much so - he's just a very good attacker, and most of those strikers are good enough to replace him. And this "throwing money at a problem" kinda solution suits them too, that's just what they do, kinda like Real Madrid, both regularly get bi*chslapped by their rivals (Giggs assisting Owen in the derby was the ultimate irony - $250 mn spent, and they lose to two freebies ), but they just don't get it. i now see my post is rather pointless, so i'll end it here haha
on tevez:
hope barca take him. joorabcian will take em to the cleaners and leave no cash remaining to buy fab with
He put up a video of Rooney committing a foul, then said that this behavior is "Typical United", as if to imply that illegal offenses in a game (fouls) are typical united behavior. He forgets to add that winning championships regularly is also "Typical United". Or that buying championships is "Typical Chelski"
Barca are under considerable debt anyway though aren't they? And about Fabregas, his transfer really seems like only a matter of time. Good thing you guys have Wilshere, Nasri as back up.
so we're the only team in the world that commit fouls?
If you consider intentionally tripping up a player off the ball, who is not even in your half of the pitch with your left back standing yards away a regular foul, that's fine.
I think it's nothing but a blatant act of unprofessionalism, which has become synonymous with United's stars over the years. From Cantona jump kicking a fan, Keane's atrocious intentional knee tackle, Rios blasting the ball at fans after being flagged offside and Evra fighting with stewards. Decent squad, but really lacking class. Is this how "Sir" Alex Ferguson coaches?
Also, it's a bit funny how you say "buying championships" is typical Chelsea, but ignore the fact that from the inception of the Premier League until Roman came around, United were among the biggest spenders in the league. Should we consider their trophys in those years to be "bought"?

What big spending? Our most successful team was built around Fergie's Fledglings. Before the Fledglings we spent under 5 million on Keane, Cantona, and Schmeichel. We supplemented a self-trained core with talent. In addition, all the money we've ever spent, we've earned. Chelsea is a toy of Abrahamovich, it was nothing (in relation to what it is today) before him, and all the success in subsequent years has come because he pumped money into the club, which allowed Chelsea to effectively buy a completely new squad, spending hundreds of millions. The difference is that Man Utd earned all the success they have, while Chelsea got their success because a sugar-daddy flipped a coin and picked it over Tottenham.

I've said it before, how can a Chelsea fan complain about Man Utd lacking class when you yourself have JT (who sleeps with team-mates' ex-gfs), Drogba and Ballack, who disgracefully bullied a UEFA official (sure, Utd did it too, but Fergie raped them for it, and players were given fines, nothing of the sort happened at Chelsea), and Ca$hley, who only plays for a pretty penny, and Chelsea fans know it.
I don't see why you bring out the "class" argument over and over again, we have our fair share of gentlemen too, in Ryan Giggs, Paul Scholes, van der Sar, Darren Fletcher (only the current squad). In any case, I don't see why a player's character matters at all. When you watch soccer, are you interested in judging morality or footballing ability?
Every team has a player or 2 that are and will always be dirty. Rooney is no different. I'm sick of him and his public indiscretions. He claimed the current United squad had no talent and/or class when he is going through the worst rough patch of his career, Nani just stepped up his game, Chicharito, Bebe, The Da Silva bros are perfect examples of talent, and he has been a dirty whiny player his whole career. Rooney needs to step his sh/it up and start scoring prolifically while keeping his mouth shut and maybe he'll regain me as a fan. I hate arrogant players, I don't care what anyone does off the field, but on it, have some damn class.
As for Man City, I think they're right for making such a big fuss, I've never been a fan but I think they're right with the whole Tevez thing. They have to put their foot down and show that they are no pushovers. Yes the have all the money in the world and can afford to sell him, and after they took in Tevez and put up those "Welcome to Manchester" posters nothing other than seeing them struggle would make me happy. But for the sake of the game they need to show some balls.

I remember their debt being around 500 mn or something, I'd think that the shirt sponsorship would barely cover the interest.
Right, i forgot about how bad their debt was. However, after buying villa for 40m the were still willing to spend more on Fabregas. this was after the president change, which means the new guy (forgot his name) has no problem spending at least 40mill on someone in the summer. The new deal only encourages that. Of course this is pure speculation going on history.
