Yeah I usually always try to get a few games in from La Liga. Except I usually watch Atletico Madrid (My team of choice in Spain) or Sevilla or Valencia. Obviously the 2 Clasicos with Barca and Madrid are always a must watch too. But because of Barca and Real dominance most games end with the same outcome with Madrid struggling to win but still winning while Barca dominating.

To be honest I find the Italian league a lot more interesting, yeah Inter has been dominating for the past 4 years or so but that's because of Calciopoli. Even then though, I find Serie A to be very competitive (more so than the EPL) and there are a lot of good mid table teams..

Germany's Bundesliga is another one to watch, I don't get to watch many games but I've been told its a great league. Very competitive and has a long of younger stars, World Cup supported that argument I think. I just don't have that much time haha

idk, apart from the EPL, i only watch the Bundesliga (very irregularly)

from my experience, the best part is that very few teams play negatively, it's fast paced, attacking football for the most part

and i kinda follow La Liga, but it's mainly for the clasicos

Brilliant match, lots of action and what an amazing comeback by you Toffees. Well done, two more points dropped by Manure. On a side note, why didn't Wayne Rooney play today? Couldn't handle a little pressure, or was he injured?

His allegations of cheating on his wife (which probably didn't happen, IMO). And that Rooney doesn't really do well against his former club.

Sigh, only if Everton didn't have to sell him...

What do you all make of the Rooney situation. I'm not writing him off, but things like this change a player's career.

he's just had a dip in form, but he needs to get back up soon otherwise Berbatov is gonna steal his thunder

hehe, i think he's referring to the cheating allegations, and if Rooney can rebound from them. I guess we have no real way of knowing, Rooney seems to be very strong mentally, but Carefree is right, if this whole scenario gets as disastrous as it could be, then Utd would suffer big time...i don't know if Berbatov can keep this up throughout the season, and more importantly, step up in crunch time at the end of the season, whole different ball game. Without Rooney, we only have Nani who could likely raise his game then (Giggs and Scholes are amazing, sure, but they can't be the ones playing 2-3 games a wk near the end of the season). but i have high hopes for Anderson this season

but that's assuming it's true. if the whole affair is purely fabricated/blown out of proportion (both of which are very likely, considering the trashy tabloids that published them), then there's obviously no problem.

I'm not too worried though, because SAF is at the helm, who is just a spectacular man manager (look at Ronaldo, Fletcher, Berbatov, Nani in recent years for example). i'm pretty confident he can drag Rooney out of this mess.

His form hasn't suffered as much as it would seem. He was stunning against Switzerland, for example, and actually, if he could play that firm playmaker role for Utd, it would be amazing, because it would solve our biggest problem right now, the lack of a young, attacking midfielder. It wouldn't have been possible last season, as Berbatov wasn't scoring much, but this season, the prospect of Berb keeping up this (goalscoring) form, and Owen, Macheda, Hernandez chipping in now and then, and Rooney playing behind them...sounds too good to be true lol

im sure it's not gonna happen though, when Rooney gets back into the thick of things and starts scoring, it would be wasting his talents to play him anywhere but striker

he stepped up when Ronaldo left last season, and agreed he's an amazing striker, but I don't think he can pick it up this season

I am more excited to see Chicharito step up, but I'm sure it'll take him a while to settle down in England, just as it takes most other central or South Americans. All these rumors about Rooney leaving too don't help, but if he were to leave I'd rather he do it now, while we're still in a rebuilding phase.

On a positive note though, Owen is back to full fitness and hopefully he'll start scoring goals like he used to almost 10 years ago haha

Enough with striking force, United have a lot of option with
Berba/Rooney/Owen/Bebe/Chicharito/Macheda up front. All United need right now is the replacement for VDS and a left footed winger IMO. Kuszack doesn't really impress me and the likes of Gibson, De Laet, Obertan really needs to step up for next season.
