Printer
I'm going to live off campus and I was wondering if I should buy a printer or not?

yes!
it depends on the person, but I found it more convenient to print from my room rather than having to always print from the library.
plus, the library closes by midnight and closes early on saturday...so yeah just have a printer at home....so you can print/scan at your own convenience

If you're the print and read kinda person. Also, you'll need it if your class has a worksheet to print out before lecture or something. Projects and essays can also add up and printing from elsewhere can get expensive.

You should buy a printer because you are most likely going to have classes where you need to print out the lecture slides.

I found it pretty invaluable to have my own printer on campus. I needed to buy one cartridge at the beginning of the year and it lasted me up until now.

invaluable? i think you meant to say valuable?
and yeah, i sleep late and will probably print off a lot of slides, so i bought an all-in-one printer for 60$ at walmart. hopefully, it'll help a lot and be put to good use without burning a hole in my wallet :O

I believe both are acceptable for the context; akin to inflammable vs flammable.

Pretty sure it was "invaluable" as in "so essential that a value cannot be assigned." Like if you have severe allergies, your Epipen is invaluable to you.

Umm do you suggest laser or inkjet? Laser is more expensive outright but I'm thinking it's a saving in the long term because you don't have to keep on buying expensive ink.

i got an inkjet because it was an all-in-one and i wasn't totally sure if i would need it for future years, but yes, i've heard laser is much cheaper in the long run.
sorry don't speak from experience though :O
