laser printers are definitely the way to go. I bought my samsung laser printer 2 years ago and have since used only 2 cartridges ($100 each). Needless to say that saved me quite some money. And I print notes for almost all of my classes!

I do have severe allergies. My Epipen is invaluable. Nice choice.

I got a quick question. I'm looking to buy a laser printer and was wondering which one I should get ... Brother Laser All In One (Scan/Copy/Print) with USB 2.0 or should I get a Wireless HP Laserjet Printer. Both are same price. Which would be better for Engineering?

Laser Printers are awesome, and cheap
I use an HP1005, its a slightly older model I got for 50 bucks a few years ago.
Works perfectly.

Depends, are you going to share the printer between roommates etc..? If so, than the I would go with the wireless one, would save the hassle.

I'm not sure if you really need the scanner and copier, maybe someone can advise...

Both work well, if it's the same price, go for whichever has more functionality? So in this case the brother laserjet all in one. also take into consideration the cost of toner.

Did you ever need to use a scanner/copier in your 1st year?

A copier yes, scanner no. However they do come in handy. I photocopied in the basement of the student centre for 7 cents a copy whenever I needed to.

on average i probably used like 5 dollars worth of photocopying first year.

I dont see how the needed for a printer can be dictated by your living location...

I'm thinking of buying a Laser Printer (black & white or colour) OR Inkjet Multi-Function Colour Printer, which one would be a better option. Would I also need to print many colour sheets considering that I'm a Life-Science student & therefore would be needing coloured diagrams for classes and projects.
