Is there a place on campus that offers free use of Digital Cameras, just to take some pictures? (similar to the free Scanners in the Libraries).

Not that I have ever heard of. You might be able to get some help from Mac Photography but even then I doubt it.

If its just a one-off thing for a school project I recommend asking a close friend or someone in your classes if they have a camera you can borrow. Digital cameras have come down in price these days, if you have the money you may want to think about getting a decent one for about $100-150.

Depending on how you use it... have you thought about the little web camera that are sometimes integrated with laptops?
