According to my phone bill, my friend's phone bill and my gf's phone bill:

When I call Toronto, or Toronto numbers, they are local calls.
When I call Hamilton, or Hamilton numbers, they are local calls.

When someone with a Hamilton number/in Hamilton calls me, it is a long-distance.
When someone with a Toronto number/in Toronto calls me, it is a local call.

When someone with an Oakville number calls me period, it is a local call.

It's a very strange thing, especially with the Hamilton calling me being long-distance.

I've had an Oakville 905 cell phone for 3 years now, and I have never gone over my minutes, even though I'm frequently on my phone. Basically for me, an Oakville number is awesome but it is a pain in the ass for people who are calling me from a rez phone, or a cellphone with no long-distance plan. (But I digress, I'm selfish.)
