Residence Guaranteed
On the Mcmaster site, they state that "Those accepted to McMaster with a 78% admissions average* are guaranteed a residence space as long as they meet the application and deposit deadlines". Does this mean that, if the average you were had during their offer must be 78%, or does it mean your final?

Bottom line: My average right now is above 78%. Is my residence guarranteed?

Your final average needs to be 78%.

But the reason im confused is because at the bottom of the residense information, it states that *Only grades received by the registrar's office prior to May 28th are considered for any residence guarantee. New grades that are assigned after May 28th cannot be considered for any type of residence guarantee.

At first, to be considered to the guarantee list, you need an average of 78% before May 28. After May 28, if your final average drops below 78%, you're moved from the guarantee list to the waiting list.

If your average was at least 78% BEFORE May 28th then you should have gotten a residence guarantee.

If your final average falls below 78%, they can't move you to the waiting list, as long as you submitted your application on time and paid your deposit then they can't take away your residence guarantee. Unless of course, your average falls below the required average to keep your offer of admissions, which for most programs I think is above 78% anyways....
