I am not guaranteed for residence, so probably I am going to have to find a place off-site. To get myself a place to live, should I look it up on-site or just look at them up close myself? Is there a deadline date into getting one of these residences? Do you know any sites I could check out to find information? Thank you

I wasn't guaranteed residence either but still got in because my average was really close to the cutoff
I don't know if there was a deadline but they told me right after the last day to register for res that I got in!

A good site for off campus housing is mcmaster housing just google it and you could also try kijiji

just wait a week or two to make sure you didn't get in

I would start planning ahead and looking at off-campus houses, there are a LOT out there and they are great! Plus there are many first-year students who are looking for roommates to go into a student house. Check the MacInsiders Housing Marketplace here: http://www.macinsiders.com/forumdisp...196.html?f=196 and look for students that posted looking for first-years to move in together with them

You may also want to try: http://macoffcampus.mcmaster .ca/, and even stop by Hamilton (if possible) and look for "For Rent" signs around neighbourhoods you like as not all landlords will advertise online
