Say Yes To the Dress
Who has a problem with spending $18,000 on a dress that you'll only wear one day? Yes, I know that theoretically you will only ever have one wedding dress because you only have one wedding, but really, $18,000? Or $11,000? That's a down payment on a house. I mean, yes, they say that you should wear your dress on your first wedding anniversary, just like you should freeze a piece of your wedding cake and eat that on your first anniversary, but I'm curious as to how many women will still fit into their dress after being married for one year. What's the tops price for a wedding dress?

I KNOW, I just got kicked out of my family room. My parents are watching Amadeus. But I was half-way through Say Yes to the Dress. Did you see that dress the pageant queen picked? And the girl whose bf proposed to her in the store? Sooo romantic...

No cable connection where I am right now, so I can't watch it. Seen a good few marathons and it's been fantastic. The ones who come back multiple times and continuously switch are crazies.

Wedding dress prices are drastically disproportionate to the actual labour/materials/profitmargin that goes into production, its just the other assoicated costs with weddings lets these people get away with charging what they do.

Who are these 'they' and how are they convincing you to eat expired baked goods as a tradition?

The "they" are the unknown people behind every statement that begins with "they." But I think it's in Martha Stewart Mag, too.

LOL. I'm just saying that a lot of couple gain weight after they get married because they get comfortable.

No, because they stop having sex, which is great at burning calories
but yes, they no longer have to keep up the 'gotta look hawt' dealio to keep their gf/bf 'interested'

Recount all those sexual encounters. Who did more work? You or her?

Funny, I just finished watching Bride Wars. But honestly, $18 000 is a little ridiculous for a dress. I could do SO much with that money (if and when I have it -_-)
