How about Natural Disasters with JOHN ?

I know John is REALLY EASY... so would that still make the course easy elective?

I've actually heard that Natural Disasters was not as easy as they thought. I'd assume it's style is similar to Enviro 1A03 which also wasn't as easy with all it's complex concepts.

Hi Lorend,

Did you take CMST 2BB3: Intro to Culture and Communication? I can't seem to find a review for it.

Hey I am a science student and lets just say writing essays and english (the course) in general has never been a strong skill of mine. However I was looking at English 2J03-CONTEMPORARY POPULAR CULTURE, any thoughts on the if this would be to difficult or if this is a good not too difficult elective?

I've read somewhere on here that it was difficult and it was very boring. I can't find the post though, maybe search around the forums a bit more.

EDIT: Just found this postive post from this thread a few pages back:

For second year, I'd recommend Geo 2MM3 gemstones, Geo 2WW3 water and Geo 2GG3 natural disasters. I think they may call them earth science now instead of Geo. They are harder than they used to be (used to be a joke) but they are still bird courses. Check out my reviews

I find it's a lot harder to do well on English courses than in science courses due to the subjective nature of the grading.

MACLACHLAN is also teaching 2GG3 and 2WW3, any thoughts on this prof?

Also on another note, anyone know anything about Origins 2S03, is it a difficult time consuming course, cause it sure sounds like it is...

John Maclachlan is an awesome prof. He gives SO many hints for the tests/exam (for the Enviro 1A03 exam - or maybe it was a test - he literally gave us a hint for every single question) and he relates to students really well (like if its Friday he would hurry up and let us out early or if there's a lot of tedious information in a section he would tell us not to bother memorizing it). He tells funny stories too sometimes.
