Hi everyone,
Just wondering if there are singles in Wallingford and what are my chances of getting a single?

There are plenty of single rooms in Wally, especially on 3rd floor!
As for your chances of getting one:
1) I think people coming out of high school with >= 95% average are guaranteed whatever they choose.
2) As for the rest of us, it's lottery based but usually if you've chosen All Girls you'll have a fair chance at getting into Wally, since not many people select All Girls. Even with All Girls-Single, you'd have a good shot at it.

There are singles in Wallingford, however the building is mostly doubles with some quads. If you have a medical reason for requesting a single, make sure you fill out the appropriate forms (they're on Housing's website) and then you will be guaranteed a single in whichever residence you get into. Even if you don't get a single in Wallingford, the rooms in Wally are bigger than most of the other res rooms because the building is older, so space shouldn't be an issue.

Wallingford is the only building that is non-carpeted. The two quad rooms on second floor have carpet, but the rest of the rooms are hardwood.

First of all, the chances of getting into Wallingford aren't as high as everyone thinks they are. Wallingford only has 74 spaces available, 69 for students that aren't hired to Wally (IRC, CAs HAs) With that being said, Moulton (A co-ed residence) has its top 2 floors all-girls because of demand. When people request certain themes, they try to fit everyone in where they want to be placed, so they convert floors in Moulton to fit the demand for all-girls residences.
Nicole is right about hardwoord floors.
There are pros and cons to hardwood floors, I generally don't think they're as bad as everyone has made them out to be. They don't get that cold, and if it bothers you get an area rug. You never have to lug a vaccuum from Keyes to Wally as you can just easily sweep. If you spill something it doesn't permanetely stain... the list goes on.

Does "females only" mean that no males are allowed on Wallingford property at all?
Are males allowed to enter as "guests"? Are guests who are males allowed to sleep over?

Guys are allowed in Wally as guests and are able to sleep over as well - the normal guest rules apply

Regardless, you feel like an intruder when you're in there.

My guy friends/ brother don't think it's that bad! The feeling probably isn't any different than what you feel in another residence.

No, all of the rooms share a communal washroom on each floor. Though to my knowledge, if you are a CA on the 2nd floor the room has a semi-private washroom shared with another CA.
