Hey, so a friend of mine was trying to get into Phsyics 1L03 today, but it was full. She needs this as a requirement for year 2, what should she do?

call or email your faculty, give them your name and student number, they will open a seat for you.

Will they open a slot only if it's a requirement?
I wanted to get into a history course that's full and was wondering if they are willing to open a slot. It's not a requirement though but something I like.

hey! im going into the health science program for my first year during hte 08-09 year. so i did my course selection on july 2nd but the problem is i wanted to take MATH 1A03 as one my electives. ive already figured out my schedule so everything works out. but MATH 1A03 seems to be "full" for me. i have a friend in kines and his MATH says that its still available...
for now i havent done the payment agreement yet and ive filled up the math spot with an anthropology course
im jsut wondering if theres even a chance for me to get into MATH 1A03 and whehter i should change anything becuase my deadline is july 9 :( *7 days thing)
i want to know whether i should redo my schedule so if id ont get math, another course will work timewise with my other courses
im so confused!
please help! thanks!

If the course isn't required then you aren't guaranteed a seat. You can try requesting one though and see what they say.
As for MATH 1A03 I know a lot of people are having issues with it being full, so I'd contact your faculty and ask to have a seat opened, then see what they say.
In the meantime, pick an elective to fill the spot of the math and so you have your full 30 units (5 courses each semester), then confirm the payment agreement asap. Once the Math opens (keep trying over the next few weeks when SOLAR opens for you again, and continue trying throughout August) then you can swap them.

Okay, thanks Eva. To clarify the second part of my question, when choosing the Term, it only lets me pick E (Evening) for some of the courses...I want all of my courses to be during the day, but for some reason it only lets me choose E. What does that mean? That they are only offered at night? Also, since we are just picking the actual courses, does it matter what tutorial I sign up for since it will be changed anyways (or rather picked for me) in August?

Yes. It's only available at night.

Okay...so then how come the tutorial times that I can see (I realize they aren't permanent yet) are during the day? Do I just pick whatever times are available because it will all be changed later?

You may not have a tutorial for the class, OR it will be part of the night class (so offered in the last hour). OR it may be offered from 6-7 with lecture following afterwards.
Why don't you look up the tutorial times for the courses to make sure?

thats what i'm sayin', the tutorial times run all different times of the day but the option is only E, not D. Can i just choose my courses all willy-nilly and wait for the schedual to come to me? I only have three courses I can take anyways. (thanks for your help so far, by the way)

Hi guyz!
I am well aware of the fact that you need to register for Science A100 in order to enroll in CHEM and BIO. I did that however it failed CHEM 1A03 and BIO 1A03 and I do not know why that happened. Can someone please let me know why that might have happened. I emailed them but I havn't recieved a reply as yet.

Maybe put SCIENCE 1A00 in Term 1 as C01.

I did do that.. Infact I tried a few time but it said the same thing:S..
I was reading the requirements for CHEM 1A03 and it said that you need to have grade 12 chemistry in order to take this course, which I do. However, it also said that that you need atleast 80% in grade 12 chemistry. I had 81% for midterm but after midterm my mark fell 5%:S.. Is that why I cannot take that course:S?
