People taking the first year psych course.. Is that really only one hour a week?
How is that possible?

You had to comeplete your payment agreement by july 30th for you to access SOLAR today.

Yea...the same thing is for the ECON 1B03 evening course. Its only once a week.

But the class is 3 hours long.. If I took psych as an elective then that's only one hour a week instead of 3 for econ, and my other elective is film studies which has 6 hours a week ... |

Psych uses online lectures.
You're gonna be spending much longer than 1 hour a week on Psych.

I give up, I'll try again at 3AM, but if my schedule doesn't work out, I'm gonna have to call my department. They should hopefully be allowed to change around required courses.

Ive run through my timetable a million times now. Ive checked SOLAR often and there looks like no chance of my time slots opening up. I'm gonna call it a day and hope by tomorrow morning I can sort something out.

It depends. If all you are taking is required courses and you can't make a conflict free schedule then they should be able to help you by opening up a seat in cores/tutorials you need to fix your schedule.
If you are taking any electives that are causing the problem then you would have to switch into other electives to make your schedule conflict free.

SOLAR will remain open till March 5, 2010. You can access SOLAR and change courses anytime before the add/drop dates.
