Well its relative to the calories intake for weight gain.

But given that peanuts are good fat, one shouldn't be scare to indulge in them within reason

Exactly. Key words: within reason.
I know people who eat healthy food, but they eat ridiculous portions, and then complain that their weight isn't dropping/ that they have gained weight. Jeez, healthy food isn't made of air.

How much do you guys think is enough money for food? What I mean is not to survive..but to have a "normal intake".? I am a fit guy, with a high Basal Metabolic Rate
