Clubs aren't even allowed to have a table more than a few days a month. Why are these clowns allowed to be here every day all day?

Yes, that’s true. I think they pay mac to advertise on our campus, just how ads pay websites to advertise on their websites.
At least, that's what i think happens.

On a side note, this is my 100th post

Well, obviously. I was questioning the logic/ethics/reasoning, not the practical issue.

some credit cards pay you 1 or 2 % cashback from your purchases, and have no yearly fee. so technically if you always pay 100% of your bill on time (which you always should otherwise you'll be in debt forever like many people in the USA) then you are getting more money than if you had no credit card at all.

Cashback schemes always result in profit for credit card companies or banks.

Thats because they charge merchant like 3 or 4% of each purchase. so the consumer benefits, but its costs companies

Most consumers always incurr interest on their credit card transactions, and the very existance of cashback influences the consumer to make many more micro-transactions they would not have made otherwise. Its not exactly common for cash-back plans to be without yearly fee, so vendor charges and marketing is their main area of brilliant revenue generation.

I wouldn't be surprised if some companies set their prices to somewhat counter the extra charge, but this affects everyone whether or not their use a credit card.

There are also some small companies that will have an extra charge if you use debit or credit.

But for the most part you are paying the same amount with a credit card as you would if you aren't paying with a credit card. Some credit cards (like the BMO SPC Credit Card) has no annual fee. Therefore if you pay on time, you never pay interest. If you choose the cash back option, you get 0.5% credit at the end of the year.

On top of this, it's a good way to start to build credit for the future.
