Just wanted to know if any first year students got their id cards.

I only know of 3 ppl who have received it, and one of them is close to where i live.

lol no dont worry, when i brought my student form to them they told me that they send them out in the last 2 weeks of july and all the way through august, so you could get it any day now!

Things at Mac ...tend to take time in the mail.
The only time not having a student card should be a problem is if you:
A. Entered your address wrong (like I did last year)
B. You don't have it in time to pick up your OSAP
Either way, just go to the Registrar's office with ID and they should be able to help you out.

i was a lil worried as to whether they rejected by admission to Engineering

if you were rejected, you have heard from them by now. Was your average atleast 80 or over?

I don't think they admitted anyone with an average under 82 into engineering this year.

At least, that's what they said when I went to the [email protected] thing.

No, it depends on your offer that you have recieved. For me, I had to get atleast an 80% to secure my spot in Eng. Other ppl who I know also going to Mac for Eng had the same offer. The 82% thing your talking about is for admission into Mac Eng, which basically means the qualifying percentage to recieve an offer.

So ya. By now, if you havnt recieved an email/mail regarding your rejection, then your probably fine. It would be a good idea to contact the admissions office to confirm...Just in case.

I got an 81.3 (with english) so i have satisfied the minimun 80% tht they mentioned on the letter of admission.

Do you think they are pending it coz i took English in summer skool, worried tht i would not get the average i need. I ended up not going. So now OUAC shows English Summer skool saying "NVM"

Did you get 81.3% before June 30, 2010? Because if you did, then your fine. I guess you shouldnt worry about the "NVM" too much. As long as you satisfied the conditions before June 30th, your good to go.

If your still not feeling confident about it, then contact the admissions office. It always helps, i guess.

You should have gotten a letter telling you if your offer has been revoked, but I'm pretty sure you needed to have all the requirements by June 30...Mac doesn't generally use summer school (in the summer before you start university) to determine acceptances. You need all the required courses and the required average by June 30.

If you haven't recieved a letter telling you your offer was revoked, then you should be fine, but as amitoj said, calling them usually helps, because then you get a solid answer and can stop worrying

i didn't get mine yet! :( when did u send in your new student form?

i mailed mine in around the end of june/early july!!!

you guys should be getting yours soon, don't stress!! some of my friends still haven't gotten theirs yet either!
