I am not sure about the summer school grades, whether, they are accountable to our final GPA for Mac and/or other Med Schools? I was planning on taking an Enviro course over the summer, but some people said that its an easy 12 and I should really secure it for the school year, since a lot of Med Schools don't even take the summer school grades into account, and that if I did it, I would be losing out on an easy course (Bernier is the prof btw). Whereas, others said it would help boost my cumulative GPA for Mac only. So, I am kinda confused as to what I did by dropping the course was right or not?

If you take it at McMaster, it's part of your CA.

You have to send transcripts from all universities you've attended. Whether they accept prerequisites taken over the summer is at the med school's discretion. Do your research now.

The McMaster Med School looks at summer school course marks, so do many American medical schools. Most Canadian med schools don't look at summer school marks but accept the credit of the course. It really depends on each medical school and I highly suggest checking the website of the schools that interest you. Since the majority of canadian schools don't look at summer school grades though, I'd agree with your friend if that enviro course is indeed a bird course.

Your academic review only happens after you've done a certain number of units (I think it's 18). So if you do summer school, by the end of the spring/summer session, you probably won't have 18 units completed. So your review at the end of fall/winter will also include your summer courses.
