I believe you can get osap during the summer but you need to be taking a certain number of units. There should be some info sheets about it outside the office for financial aid in gilmour hall.

You have to take 6 units in the same term in the summer to be eligible for osap for that term (you are not eligible if you take 3 units in Term 1 and 3 units in term 2).

I want to take an all year class in the summer (term 3), but i'll be needing osap summer assistance, does that mean i'll have to take another 2 classes (1 each term) to be eligible for assitance?

From what that pdf linked above says, unless you're in Engineering, you need 4.5 units per term to be eligible for OSAP. If you're taking a six-unit course over two terms, then yes, you'd need to add another course per term to be eligible for that term.

Because OSAP lending seems to be based on your course load per term as opposed to the whole summer, I'd imagine you have the option of just adding one course to one term to be eligible for OSAP for that term.

Alternatively, if you find a three-unit course that stretches itself out over the whole summer, you could take that too since you only need 4.5 units per term to be eligible. I haven't bothered to check for such a course, but I can't imagine one existing.

so if you are signing up for a course in the second term of summer, is it still march 22nd?

My question: how many people are up at this time and registering for Engineer 2P04? It's 8:15 and ALREADY full!

I have no idea how a course could fill up so quickly. We should definitely do some bitching to somebody, it just doesn't seem right. Really, what are the chances of those 100 or so MUGSI seats being taken up by second and third year Engineers?

I thought of shooting an e-mail off to the prof, but... he has no contact infos that I can see. So I am trying to find *****-worthy peoples. No idea who so far!
