Surpassing 48 first year units (In the summer)
So here's the situation...
I'm in third year Life sciences... I am at 48 first year courses over first year, second and summer school. If I take another first year in the summer, will the mark not go towards my overall average?
Am I even allowed to register in it? Any information on the situation would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

True but easy to do , my degree required 37 units first year courses last year, 6 this years , and I took one more elective bring my total to 46. I want to take econ 2b03 and intro to med pys ..but to pay approx 700 for each course and not go towards anything, not worth it.

If they're valuble to you and they help you decide what you want to do with your life, they are definately worth it.
I was just laughing at the 48 courses... (when it should have been 48 units?)

I think it would still be considered in your average (every single course will be), but it just won't be counted towards your degree requirements. It would probably be listed as 'not used' in your degree audit, in a similar way if you fail a course, except your mark is not an F.
