what textbooks are crucial for the exam?
this semester im in enviro 1ba3, geog 1ha3, health 1aa3, health 1bb3, and psych 1xx3

which of these will the mid term and exam be basically taken from the textbook, or a good majority of it? i know all are recommended, but last semester i used a couple hundred and didnt need them whatsoever, so i was just wondering if anyone has an idea about the courses i named off

thanks in advance!

You'll definitely need Hth Age 1BB3, a lot of her questions on the midterm and exam are based on the textbook, definitions and topics she doesn't necessarily cover in class. Psych 1XX3 is all neuroscience, I bought the textbook and didn't use it at all. It's only useful for 1X03 not 1XX3. I don't know about the other courses.

For Psych 1XX3. Dr Kim stated in lecture that you will NOT be tested in any materials SOLELY found in the textbook

1xx3(or 1x03 for that matter) did not require the text... heck the courseware wasnt even useful
geo 1ha3... if its like 1hb3 id say get the text.. i had peace last year and reading over your lecture notes plus reading the assigned readings from the text were very helpful for the tests

Envir Sc 1B03 is definitely not needed
As far as Geo 1HA3, I took it last year and didn't use the textbook at all and was fine. All the material on the tests was from lectures.

Would I be screwed if I didn't buy the 1xx3 courseware? It seems like a waste, but maybe others found it very useful!?

Geog 1ha3. You need this text book. He asks questions directly from the readings. You'll still pass the course without it, but you'll miss out on some marks.

I see others posted about not using it. It's up to you how well you want to do. I took this course last semester and they have drastically changed it from other years.
