Wanted to know if this is a good elective to take. From what I've heard, this course was a bird course in past years, just wanted to know if this is still the case. Also, thoughts on the professor teaching it, Joelle Papillon?

Knowing French opens up opportunities in government and civil service.

Then again you could just go live in Quebec City for the summer and learn by immersion. Probably costs less than the tuition for enough courses to meet native fluency.

French 1A06 is advanced level french so I think you mean French 1Z06, which is the easy french.
Joelle Papillon was technically the professor for 1Z06, but when I took it (in 2014/2015), the TAs did did every lecture so you never really saw her.
