OP is lucky she didn't get a DUI. Count your lucky stars and take the ticket, especially if your bf was being a **** about it. Personally, I treat stop signs like a yield when I'm on my bike. If the intersection is clear and I have a unrestricted view of the intersecting roads, then I slow down and pass through it. Coming to a full stop for the stop sign in a clear intersection isn't going to save my life and it isn't going to save anyone else's either.

A couple of things here. Before I came to Mac, I studied law.
I'm gonna let you in on a few tidbits on info.

1. You can't get charged with impaired driving on a bicycle. The law says impaired operation/care and control of a "motor vehicle"
2. Don't lie to the officer. They have full police authority. If you give them a fake name, you could possibly be charged with obstruct peace officer.
