can you choose different cores and labs? for example, C01 and L03. or should you stick with C01 and L01?

Yes, you can choose different ones. There's a lot more lab sections than there are cores.

Yep. The only exception I can think of is that Chem lab and tutorial sections have to match up, but not cores.

Don't forget to print/save term 1 AND term 2 schedules so you don't suffer from this again when term 2 comes around..

So if we do somehow choose courses that don't match up (like in the case of the Chem lab and tutorial sections having to match up), will SOLAR show a notification?

To anyone who had a blank schedule like i did and it said you have to manually pick your courses, call McMaster and give them your student number and they'll redo it and it'll update in a few hours.

Yes, you should be able to. If you're on Google Chrome, it may not work - try with Mozilla Firefox.

This question's been running on a different thread as well. Here's what I found that helped.
(Quoting ikantsepll) "The trick is to click term 2, and when nothing happens, close the timetable and go back into it. This time, term 2 should pop up "

If you are using chrome, click Term 2, close the window, then open the timetable again and it will display term 2.
