how can we tell if there are any conflicts?

will it say directly on the timetable there is a conflict? I have to classes that are looking like they are overlapping time wise ( the same course) and they are both eow. the timetable doesnt say anything however about a conflict

Yes, it will say something along the lines of ***CONFLICT*** and the box will be yellow, not green.

are you talking about chem labs/tutorials? Then you wouldn't have a problem because they are every other week so they would never clash.

If you are in Science I don't think you're even allowed to register conflicting courses...
