Transcripts
Hi All,
I was wondering if anyone knows how other universities will calculate my average when they see my transcript? As McMaster uses the 12 point system what will another school assign to that value (say I received an 8 (73-76%) what will they assign, will they take the max value, min value or do our transcripts have a percentage value on them?

In my experience, they took the middle value of each range (ie. 74.5% for an 8).

from what i understand it depends on what you are applying for- but i believe a lot of other schools will convert it to the 4 point scale from our 12 point

If I want to get into a teacher's college I need to leave McMaster, as we don't have one.

Hi all...not sure if this is the proper place to post but I have a question about transcripts. When you request a transcript to be sent to the grad schools where you will be applying, is there a course description sent along with the transcript that will explain the McMaster course codes? Also, some of the grad schools I'm looking at have a deadline of early to mid January for all documents. Should I request a transcript to be sent now and then another to be sent after this semester marks are posted? Thanks for your help

Some grad schools want one sent now and one sent after the fall grades. You should check with the school you are applying to though.
