Hey, I was wondering if anyone knew how one goes about transferring to Mac? My sister is in her 1st year at University of Ottawa, and wants to transfer to Mac next year.
Thanks for any help

She'll have to request a meeting with each school's faculty before February (try doing it much earlier) to discuss her situation so they can see if she were to transfer, which credits will carry over to the new university, and if they even have space.

She'd also have to have a decent GPA if she wants to get into a specific program 2nd year; rather than just repeating 1st year.

I think your sister is probably better off calling the registrar's office and ask... you'll probably get a better answer from them than from us students who may not even be in her program
EDIT: Here's some info that I found from the McMaster Undergraduate Calendar that she might want to look at:

I don't know, you should really make sure she thinks switching to Mac is the best option, you don't want her regretting her decision.

IMO, if she were to transfer and have to repeat a year it isnt worth it. But if she'd only have to take a few extra courses than all is well. But like others have suggested, the best way to get ANY information on this topic is to call the Registrars office. They'll have more/correct information than what you may get from us.
