Trying out for sports teams
Hi,

I'm interested in getting involved and trying out for sports teams at Mac this year and was wondering how intense the the experience will be. I've played for my high school but have never been a part of an outside elite/rep team for any particular sport.

Is it alright for novice/ non-elite people to tryout for and be a part of any particular sport?

I was informed of the rugby training camp and it sounds INTENSE. I def do not have enough confidence in my conditioning at the moment, just reading about it.

Is this something I should consider doing? And is it recommended for first year students? (workload/commitment-wise)

I'd appreciate any advice, thank you!

If you arent an elite talent in your sport, I highly doubt it that you would make university level sports teams. If you are a novice as you stated, I would recommend intramurals, not the university teams
