Ualberta student wanting to transfer to McMaster Engineering
Hey guys

I am a first-year Ualberta arts student who is interested in transfering to McMaster for engineering. At the moment, the only related course I am taking is calculus I.

I plan to take Chem and Physics next semester and a few other related course. I went to the engineering department here at U of A and they gave me a sheet of which courses I should take to make me eligible for transfer to U of A engineering. Which basically consisted of Chem, Phys, linear algebra, calculus II, mechanics, etc.

Should I take the engineering version of the above courses or should I just take the faculty of science version? The engineering faculty here will only let me take a maximum of two engineering classes.

Also, is there any webpage regarding transferring to McMaster engineering from another university? I looked on the engineering website but I couldn't find one.

thank you for your time and I look forward to your replys

Heyo,

Your best bet is to contact the Faculty of Engineering directly. Because not only are you a transfer student from another faculty, but from another school and another province...which makes things a little bit complicated. You may have taken the requisite courses in high school, and you may not have.

If you look at this site, it provides a bunch of info for prospective students. It also gives you the contact info of the Department.

Good luck!!
