Just thought I'd stimulate the few passionate people on this board into a share session, where you can feel free to share our favorite music with each other no matter the genre or artist. The main goal is tohelp each other find some awesome new music that we wouldn't have heard otherwise.
For those that don't know the share thread template it goes something like this:

I'll go first:
[Electro] [80kidz] [This Is My S**t]
A pretty cool electro band from Japan, has one of the catchiest electro beats that i've heard in quite a long time, if you like this than chances are that you'd like some stuff by Shinichi Osawa + Autokratz. Best song on this album definitely has to be "Arab Hertz Club".
Won't lie, i just looked up the song on youtube, and it'll definitely be going into my study/sleep playlist on my iPod. Thx ! If you're looking into more ambient artist's you might like Panthu du Prince and their song "Bohemian Forest" or Boards of Canada's "Dayvan Cowboy".
If you're not into bands like Dream Theater you'll probably despise these guys, the vocals just blow away anything I've ever heard and the guitar work is fantastic and incredibly creative. If I were to choose a good song to represent them I guess I'd go with Sin (Youtube quality kind of wrecks it)
The word epic is thrown around too much and it pretty much doesn't mean anything anymore, as even the most insignificant things seem "epic" to some people. Running Wild, however, redefines epic. The way the songs build up and release the tension cannot make me think of anything other than me at the head of a ship, sailing the open seas. Funnily enough, Running Wild's main lyrical content is about pirates. Not the silly Alestorm type, but a somewhat-realistic portrayal of the dirty life of a buccaneer. The song Riding the Storm, exemplifies this.
This is my favourite album of all, time, I also am convinced that this is the greatest album ever made, and no album will be better than Loveless. It's all about layers, atmosphere, noise, distortion and really breathy vocals

Lately ive been listening to this band called "dead mans bones" the LEAD singer is non other than RYAN GOSLING - the guy from that gay moviethe NOTEBOOK LOL (very deep/creepy vocals and instrumentation) definitely worth a listen
I actually LOVE the Boom Boom Satellites, On and EXPOSED are one of the most played albums on my iTunes.
I think you might like the Mad Capsule Markets
[Electro/Punk] [Blue Stahli] [Antisleep Vol.01]
Blue Stahli aka Bret Autrey is a one man chizophrenic collision of noisy guitars, edgy electronics and sensual vocals that form the bipolar soundtrack to underground dancefloor lust and aftermath. One of the most amazing solo artists that no one knows about, if you like any kind of nuRock or ElectroRock you NEED to check out this album! Best Song: "Kill Me Everytime"

[Power/Folk Metal] [Falconer] [Various albums]
I never really liked metal until I heard Falconer. I think that's because I'm not fond of vocals with any more than a slight rasp to them. However, Falconer's singer has this really clear, smooth voice, with something about it that just fits very well with the medieval-times setting of most of their songs. Epic battles, good vs. evil, royalty and peasants, etc. I'd definitely recommend them if you like epic fantasy novels.
