Welcome Week
I still don't get how Welcome Week works. So can someone explain to me what happens at Welcome Week? Also does anyone know how long it is running for? I hope this isn't a dumb question but, I'm always under a rock when it comes to knowing these things >.<

The link should have answered most questions but the general idea behind Welcome Week is to ease you into the McMaster community and connect you with students who are in a similar situation as you (stepping outside your comfort zone to the new, unexpected experience of university). There's also lots of peer mentoring, chance to get involved with clubs, concerts, academic help sessions, and faculty orientation. Residence and SOCS (society of off campus students) have their respective events and orientation events that help you get used to rez or off campus life. First years this year have no choice about paying (or not) for Welcome Week, so make sure you try to take advantage of all it has to offer...
